Starting at: £4.50 Please Choose: Bag Size Grind Add to Cart: Description El Salvador Rich indigenious rain forest exists through much of El Salvador,and the coffee we are sourcing grows on the Santa Barbara farm that comes under the banner of the Rainforest Alliance.This certification scheme promotes the conservation of indigenous flora to enhance biodiversity and provide habitats for fauna.It also works to develop sustainable economic and social practices with organisations certified under the mark. The Santa Barbara farm lies 4000 feet above sea level in the Apaneca- llamatepec mountain range in the north west of El Salvador. The farm is in the foothills of the Cerro las Ranas mountain(mountain of frogs) and cultivatrd coffee undr indigenous shade trees stretch up to 5000 feet above sea level. Beyond this height and stretching uo to a crater at the summit of Cerro las Ranas, the mountain is blanketed by untouched indigenous forest that provides home to many species of birds and animals. Tasting Notes: Our El Salvador coffee has been given a medium dark roast that ensures its natural characteristics can shine through.Its medium to full body is balanced perfectly by a smooth nuttiness,natural sweetness and a lingering tangy finish on the aftertaste.
