Coffee of the Month

Sholi, from the green hills of Rwanda.

At Coffee Direct we are delighted to receive our first batch of Sholi arabica Rwandan coffee beans, landed on the 15th of February this year, they are the first new crop from the Abateraninkunga ba Sholi cooperative located in the green hills of the Muhanga district in Rwanda.

The cherries are selectively hand picked by the cooperative members and procesed at their washing stations. From there, they are naturally dried under the warm Rwandan sun, that way they secure the quality of their produce and offer members and farmers financial security which empowers them and helps enrich their community.

Rain Forest Alliance and Fair Trade certified, the beans are fully washed Bourbon variety and grown at an elevation of 1899-2000 masl (meters above sea level, for those in the know), which give this coffee a buttery and creamy body with delicious notes of pomegranate and candied grapefruit.

The Sholi will be our coffee of the month this March, we expertly roast our beans on Friday’s and Saturda’s, pack on Sunday so we are ready to send out our orders on Monday. That way, your coffee arrives to you super fresh, and ready for you to enjoy.

Supply is limited, so get your order in fast because when it’s gone, its gone!
